     BPM products are still evolving. I have built enterprise strength mission critical Business Process Management Systems (BPMS). From my 3.5 years of design, implementation and process management (design, deployment, monitoring, exception management and optimization) experience I have compiled a list of must have BPM product features and capabilities.

  • Table 1:
  • Is a high level list of capabilities, services and features a enterprise BPM product must have. These features are absolutely needed to create and support enterprise strength business processes. The list is a compilation of the features I have mentioned in the various chapters in the book.

  • Table 2:
  • Is a list of features a graphical process designer must have. Detail explanation, best practices and use each feature is mentioned in Chapter 4 (Business Process Design).

  • Table 3:
  • Is a list of features a BPM product must offer from a process deployment perspective. Detail explanation, deployment strategy, best practices and techniques of each feature is mentioned in Chapter 5 (Business Process Deployment).

  • Table 4:
  • Is a list of features the BPM product and process monitoring and exception handling tools must collectively provide from a live process management perspective. Detail explanation of business process monitoring and exception management is mentioned in Chapter 6 (Business Process Monitoring and Exception Management).

  • Table 5:
  • Is a list of features the process analytical reporting and performance metrics tools supplied with the BPM product must have. Detail explanation is in Chapter 7 (Process Optimization).
